Washing your Aventera shoes: tips and recommendations
Have your shoes gotten dirty or could your shoes use a freshening up? Below is a brief explanation of how to wash your shoes best. It is recommended to wash the shoes by hand, to prevent damage.
Hand wash (recommended):
- Remove the laces and any insoles : This makes cleaning easier and more thorough. The laces can be washed by hand or in the washing machine in a laundry bag.
- Make a soapy solution : Use lukewarm water and a mild soap or detergent.
- Scrub gently : Use a soft brush or cloth to remove dirt and stains.
- Rinse thoroughly : Make sure all soap residue is removed.
- Let dry : Let the shoes air dry, preferably in a well-ventilated place, but not in direct sunlight.
Washing machine (only for very dirty):
- Remove the laces and insoles : This makes cleaning easier and more thorough. The laces can be washed by hand or in the washing machine in a washing bag. The insoles cannot be washed.
- Use a laundry bag : Place the shoes in a laundry bag to protect them.
- Short program : Choose a short wash program to protect the shoes.
- Low temperature : Wash at a low temperature (maximum 30 °C) to prevent deformation.
- Air dry : Let the shoes air dry, avoid dryers.
